Environmental Asthma Causes
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways. This could be genetic but there could be some environmental exposures as well causing asthma attacks. These are considered as environmental asthma.
Also, you can learn a lot about natural herbal asthma remedies by following the link.
Air pollutions come natural to the metros and that is the main cause for allergens causing asthma. But there are other exposures as well like exposure to environmental tobacco smoke. For example, people often freely smoke outside the building near the gate of the buildings creating a lot of allergens for asthma patients. Colleagues in the nearby cubes can also transfer the allergens once inside the building after a smoke break. A part from smoke the dust and cleaning can also create allergens which would lead to asthma. Weather changes can also act as triggers for asthma. Certain types of food could be another trigger. Pets often carry with them dust of their hair can act as a trigger.
Patients can use a log book or diary to note down his personal triggers and those triggers could differ from person to person. And each person can help their own prescribed medicine. The best way to treat a patient with environmental asthma is to change his environment which is free from his or her asthma triggers. If the patient is living in the cities which is highly polluted or has pollen grains then he should consider finding a job elsewhere because health is wealth. We try to make our environment smoke free. If we can avoid a pet then let us do so. Dust could come from a building construction and person can try to move his residence away from that if possible. The vapors from cleaning, fire place etc. can also act as triggers some people and should be avoided if possible. If a person is living in the area where there is a lot of humidity then he should consider moving to dry area. In fact this is our duty to keep our environment clean and that will ultimately help asthma patients as well.
